Library Times

The change in the library times this year have been very annoying. Now that it only opens until 11 really affected my hours of study this semester. With soccer I missed a lot of classes and essential time for studying. Usually last year I would go to the library late and try catch up on all the work I had missed that day but this year has been very frustrating. Having lasted without a laptop most of this semester because it was broken and not being able to go to the library late at night has really affected the rate at which I catch up on work ive missed. I feel that we should have been allowed choose what time the new library hours were going to be instead of being told it closes at 11 and thats that.

exercising

How important is exercising? In my opinion I think it is a major aspect of every day life. It helps you maintain a healthy lifestyle and help prevent health problems such as heart disease, obesity and many other issues. You dont have to exercise exessively, just by doing something every day like running or playing a game of soccer helps keep your heart and body healthy. While you are young I think it is the most important time of your life to stay physically active. As you get older you have less time to workout with the stresses of having a full time job and a family to raise. So while you're young I feel it is extremely important to at least maintain a healthy habit of doing a small bit of exercise each day.

Why I want to be a P.E teacher

For me, physical activity is a huge factor in my every day life. I love to play all types of different sports and try anything new. For me physical activity shoudnt be seen as a chore or something to hate. It should be enjoyed by everyone and for me, being a PE teacher makes me want to make PE and enjoyable subject. At home in Ireland PE is not a graded subject which is ridiculous. There are many people who ruin that class for others because they don't feel like participating. If the education system were to make it a graded subject there would be a lot more participation and less tension between students during that time period as they will all be involved. I want to be a PE teacher so I can help students obtain a basic and general knowlegde of health and fitness that they can use throughout their life. I also want to make it fun and enjoyable for the students that dont feel like it is one of their main strengths.

soccer season

this year has by far been the most successful season I've had with Slippery Rock Womens soccer. We have achieved so much this year that we were no where near achiveing last year. Our season started off very slow and it took us a while to get out momentum but when we did there was nothing stopping us. We went on a streak of 15 games unbeaten to make it to the PSAC semi finals. It was a huge game against the no.4 ranked team in the country. Even though we went 1-0 down a couple of minutes before the first half we rallied back and tied it at 1-1. We even went ahead in the 2nd half with 8 minutes to go but were unfortunate to concede an let our lead slip. The game went into penalties and in the end we were unluky and lost. But we were proud of how far we had gotten and even make the National play offs, easily seeing off WVW in our 1st round and yet again in the 2nd round we were the more unfortunate team to lose on penalties again. Overall we had an unbelievable successful season and have nothing to be ashamed of.
