Library Times
The change in the library times this year have been very annoying. Now that it only opens until 11 really affected my hours of study this semester. With soccer I missed a lot of classes and essential time for studying. Usually last year I would go to the library late and try catch up on all the work I had missed that day but this year has been very frustrating. Having lasted without a laptop most of this semester because it was broken and not being able to go to the library late at night has really affected the rate at which I catch up on work ive missed. I feel that we should have been allowed choose what time the new library hours were going to be instead of being told it closes at 11 and thats that.

I totally agree. This semester I have been at the library for on average about 5 hours a day. The fact that it closes at 11 now makes me have to move things around in my schedule and makes it very inconvenient. I think that they should have let the students pick the times. That way, at least, we would have been able to have had a say.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the library hours this year are awful. I usually spend a lot of time in the library doing my work without distractions but I haven't had that chance. I was mostly at the library late and not during the day. The library should let the students have a say in what times the lirary is open. We are the ones who use it the most.
ReplyDeleteI agree as well. I commute from Pittsburgh and left at 6:00am one morning to cram for an 8:00am exam. I thought the library would be open an hour before classes. Little did I know it wasn't open. Fortunately, I had brought my laptop and found a lobby in another building to study. It's absurd that the library is not open before classes.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you about the hours of the library. I think we should have a say in what time it stays open. My computer is broke now as well so the only choice I have is to use the computers at the library and if it's closed, I can't do my work. I don't live on campus so I spend most of my day in class and at the library when i'm not in class and it is a pain when the one place that I go to isn't open. We should get to vote at the beginning or at the end of each semester for the opening and closing times of the library.
